Our Foundation board members have a multitude of skills and rich, diverse backgrounds from a variety of industries. In support of the Foundation, the officers and board cover key areas such as business development, finance, legal, sales, accounting, and marketing and communications. Each director and officer serves a multi-year term on a volunteer basis. We also have our wonderful ambassadors who support the Foundation, along with our Planned Giving Ambassador who provides guidance to potential donors and Nautilus members.

Gary Mintz serves as the Foundation Treasurer and brings a rich education and career in the securities analysis, finance, and investment industries.


Ken Carlson was former Sr. Vice President of Operations and part owner, of Eastern Electric (formerly part of Westinghouse Electric Corporation) where he oversaw 31 service centers in 23 states. He later moved onto V.P of Integrated Power Services (formerly part of Rockwell Automation), He has been President of the Denver Coach Federation plus he has his own company (Co-Profit LLC) where he provides executive coaching/consulting, meeting facilitation, seminars, and specialty programs.


He is presently on the board of directors for Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) serving on the: finance, strategic planning, nominating, and fund-raising committees. He also helped start their Job Center where he assist individuals in finding work. He has been recognized by Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce as volunteer of the year, plus he has received recognition by Jeffco County Council on Aging & Sr Resource Center as Senior Hero. He also is President of Evergreen Pathfinders where he presides over meetings covering local and international issues. This group is dedicated to self-improvement, education, and quality of life within the mountain community.

MEET Taylor

Taylor Owen is a longtime member of Mile Hi Church.   He has been engaged in the Colorado business community for over 40 years in banking, real estate and private business.  He has an extensive background as a Chief Financial Officer in the corporate world and has served in leadership positions on non-profit boards and foundations throughout his career.  Presently, he is working as a financial advisor in estate planning, trusts and investment management.

Taylor is a fifth generation Coloradan who grew up and went to school in Aspen.  His passion is the outdoors and he has hiked, skied and fished many of the mountains, trails and rivers of this beautiful state.  Taylor is married with two fine sons and spends time with his family at their cabin located near the Lost Park Wilderness area in South Park.  Taylor has served on the Mile Hi Church Board of Trustees and is grateful for the opportunity to work again with the Mile Hi Church Foundation, its dedicated board of directors and the Mile Hi community.
